Reporting to - Manager - Safety

Job Description

 Liaison with Govt. authorities like DISH, MPCB, Corporation and MIDC for Safety, Health &

Environmental matters.

 Support the development of OHS policies and programs.

 Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)

 Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.

 Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.

 Initiate and organize OHS training of existing employees as well as new joinees.

 Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using

protective equipment).

 Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.

 Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.

 Record and investigate incidents to determine causes.

 Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.

 Ensuring 100% compliance of legal requirement with respect to Safety, Health & Environment.

 Investigation & analyzing all near miss, dangerous occurrences, incidents, accidents and

suggesting corrective & counter measures based on available facts.

 Ensuring the smooth functioning of hazard and incident identification process and monitor actions

on it.

 Executing / supporting the on-site emergency plan and allotted the responsibility of respective.

individual in case of emergency. Conducting the mock drills & initiating action on CAPA.

 Ensuring accurate documentation for necessary permits & applications.

 Support to develop safety culture & coordinate with cross function departments to build stronger

safety culture at factory.

Candidate Profile

Qualification

 Bachelor's degree / Diploma (Mechanical / Electrical) + Occupational Safety/Industrial Hygiene or

related field highly preferred [Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety]

Experience

 Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5+ years of

post-safety qualification experience in safety function.
