Job Description

WHO ARE WE: Instituted on August 16, 2016 Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Steel Limited mandated with the responsibility of executing CSR for Tata Steel. A Section 8 company, TSF is rapidly growing multilocational organization spread across Odisha, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Punjab and Delhi-NCR with over 1600+ people. Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Jamshedpur

Key Deliverables:

1-Deaf ecosystem development including active engagement with Deaf community, Individual and family. Identifying gaps and supporting organization in fulfilling the gap as per need.

2-Support development of Inclusive policies, programs, and accessibility frameworks, Referral networks for education, skill development, and employment of PwHI.

3-Provide professional ISL interpretation for Highlevel interactions, conferences, leadership meetings, public events etc. based on organization requirements.

4-Support online, hybrid, and inperson interpretation as per program requirements

5-Promote representation, leadership, and empowerment of Deaf individuals across platforms

6-Adapt interpretation for diverse Deaf users with varying linguistic and cultural needs

7-Conduct Basic to Intermediate ISL training for Deaf individuals, Mainstream school teachers, students, Parents, caregivers, family members, employees and service providers.

8-Develop and deliver Structured ISL learning modules, Practiceoriented sessions and assessments including Support and monitor ISL training programs across multiple geographies

9-Support planning and execution of Disability Inclusion and Deaffocused initiatives. Coordinate with internal teams, interpreters, trainers, and external partners.

10-Contribute ideas for Innovative Deafinclusive communication practices and usages of technology and digital accessibility for PwHI Support advocacy for recognition of ISL and rights of Deaf individuals

Minimum Qualification:

Diploma in Sign Language (ISLRTC or equivalent) – Required

Bachelor's degree in arts, Social Sciences, or related field – Preferred

Minimum Work experience in years: 0- 4 Years of relevant experience.
