8 - 12 years of experience in structural design, preferably in refrigeration, HVAC, industries.
Structural Design & Analysis
Design sheet metal, frame, and enclosure structures for commercial refrigeration units.
Perform stress, vibration, and fatigue analysis using tools
Ensure structural integrity under thermal loads, pressure variations, and operational stresses.
Standards & Compliance
Apply relevant Indian standards in design.
Prepare documentation for BIS certification and other regulatory approvals.
Product Development
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to integrate structural designs into complete refrigeration systems prototype.
Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs in collaboration with testing team.
Test and validate the product for complete product lifecycle
Visit field to understand/analyze/provide solution to market requirements and field issues
Cost & Material Optimization
Select appropriate materials based on strength, corrosion resistance, and cost.
Optimize designs for manufacturability and assembly.
Documentation & Reporting
Create detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings of components & assemblies, BOMs.
Maintain design records and revision history for audit and traceability.
Proficiency in CAD tools (CREO, AutoCAD).
Familiarity with Indian standards and regulatory frameworks.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes like injection molding, extrusion, used in white good industry
Project management skills
To imagine solutions, based on the product design requirement or addressing product problem statement considering Manufacturing possibilities, Supply chain constraints, Serviceability, Ergonomics, End customer use.
Spatial imagination and methodical understanding
Knowledge of Windchill product link and experience in working in windchill collaborative environment
Familiarity with manufacturing processes like injection molding, extrusion, used in white good industry
