Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager- Network Operations

Role Summary:

We are looking for experienced and proactive Level 2 Network Operations Engineers to join our Global Network Support Team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the stability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise network infrastructure. The engineer will focus on incident resolution, change execution, and continuous service improvement, ensuring high availability and adherence to SLAs.

Responsibilities

. Deliver 24x7 operational support for enterprise network and WiFi services.
. Monitor network health and respond to alerts and incidents in real time.
. Perform L2-level triage, advanced troubleshooting, and resolution of network issues.
. Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Level 3 engineering or vendor support with proper diagnostics.
. Own and execute L2 network changes including configuration updates, upgrades, patches, and optimizations in production and non-production environments.
. Prepare, review, and validate change implementation plans, back-out plans, and risk assessments as part of Change Management (ITIL).
. Participate in CAB (Change Advisory Board) discussions and provide technical impact analysis for proposed network changes.
. Ensure changes are implemented within approved maintenance windows and comply with SLAs and governance standards.
. Perform post-change validation, monitoring, and documentation to confirm successful implementation and service stability.
. Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, changes, configurations, and network diagrams.
. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents related to changes and contribute to problem management initiatives.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Incident Management, Service Desk, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
. Recommend and implement network performance, stability, and resiliency improvements.
. Develop and maintain SOPs, Method of Procedures (MOPs), and knowledge base articles for operational and change activities.
. Liaise with vendors and service providers for change execution support, escalations, and service improvements.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Relevant years of hands-on experience in network operations or support.

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, and Wi-Fi technologies.

  • Experience with Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto network devices.

  • Familiarity with SD-WAN, NAC, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, PRTG).

  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Management of large enterprise networks (5000+ devices).

  • Exposure to multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto).

  • Hands-on experience with MPLS and SD-WAN deployments.

  • Familiarity with data center operations and virtualization.

  • Experience in cloud migration and hybrid infrastructure setups.

  • Background in telecommunications or service provider environments.
