Role Purpose
To support product and process quality engineering across lifecycle stages (APQP → SOP → Customer), ensuring robust design validation, smooth launches, and effective customer issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support product & process quality activities across assigned projects
- Drive and execute APQP deliverables (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC)
- Assist in Design for Quality, Reliability & Tolerance analysis
- Participate in Engineering Change (ECN) impact assessment and validation
- Work closely with NPI & Engineering teams to ensure design and process robustness
- Implement Lessons Learned & Best Practices across projects
- Support Supplier PPAP activities and follow-up for approvals
- Coordinate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Program teams for quality deliverables
- Handle customer line issues, EOL failures, and field complaints with structured problem solving (8D, RCA)
- Support failure analysis (FA) and ensure closure of technical issues
Key Deliverables
- Timely completion of APQP documents and gate readiness
- Alignment of DFMEA – PFMEA – Control Plan
- PPAP documentation readiness and submission support
- Reliability validation support reports
- Engineering change validation records
- Closure of internal and customer quality issues
Qualification & Experience
- Education: B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics
- Experience: 5–10 years in Quality Engineering (Automotive / EV / Electronics preferred)
- Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Exposure to design & process validation / failure analysis
- Experience in handling customer issues and cross-functional coordination
- Knowledge of problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
