Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced EV Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electric vehicles (EVs) and associated charging infrastructure. This role requires expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of EVs

Role & responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electric vehicles, including batteries, motors, inverters, and other high-voltage components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Maintain and service EV charging stations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce vehicle downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Interpret and utilize wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals for system diagnostics and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices while handling high-voltage systems.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop maintenance strategies and improve vehicle performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members and end-users.
  • Stay updated on the latest EV technologies, regulations, and industry advancements.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in EV maintenance, automotive electrical systems, or high-voltage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of EV powertrains, battery management systems, and charging infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and software for fault detection and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Relevant certifications in EV maintenance or high-voltage safety training (preferred).
  • Valid drivers license.
