Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager Solar Rooftop (Operations) is responsible for managing end-to-end execution of solar rooftop projects, ensuring timely completion, quality compliance, safety adherence, and coordination among internal teams, vendors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Operations
Plan, execute, and monitor solar rooftop projects from site survey to commissioning
Ensure projects are completed within defined timelines, cost, and quality standards
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for smooth execution
Monitor daily site activities and resolve operational issues promptly
Site Management
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and feasibility assessments
Ensure proper installation of solar panels, inverters, structures, and associated systems
Ensure adherence to approved drawings, technical specifications, and standards
Maintain site documentation, progress reports, and checklists
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
Coordinate with EPC vendors, contractors, and subcontractors
Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and compliance
Ensure availability of materials, tools, and manpower at sites
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and statutory regulations
Conduct safety briefings and ensure use of PPE at sites
Support audits, inspections, and quality checks
Ensure adherence to DISCOM, electrical inspectorate, and MNRE guidelines
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
Act as a single point of contact for clients during project execution
Address client queries, concerns, and change requests
Ensure customer satisfaction through timely communication and delivery
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
Maintain project MIS, material consumption records, and site logs
Support handover documentation and commissioning reports

Understanding of electrical and civil aspects of solar installations

Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
