We are inviting applications for the rolePortfolio & Trade Reconciliation - Assistant manager for Private Credit.
Responsibilities
Responsible for accurate and timely completion of assigned reconciliations including
Daily cash reconciliation and positions, and Weekly / monthly reconciliations
Review of fund returns and investor reporting materials
Review of quarterly and annual fund financial statements including management fee payments and carried interest allocations and NAV and expenses.
Manage year-end audit process and maintain close interaction with outside accountants during year end audit
Perform analytical review of quarterly balance sheets and income statements
Review of capital call and distribution activity
Performing manual reconciliation for processes not included in automation
Identify and investigate exceptions within established time parameters
Escalate and work closely with clients and custodian banks to ensure timely resolution of exceptions
Work within existing procedures and processes ensuring clear and concise documentation is created and maintained.
Remain familiar with relevant securities industry development specifically those impacting the activities of assigned portfolios and/or internal clients and custodial service providers.
Provide support to the team as required, to participate in a regular program of industry specific training and interdepartmental cross training to ensure continuity of service.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Preferably a CA or related courses in accounting
Relevant work experience
Strong Excel skills
Knowledge in securities instruments/settlements and banking process change strategies
Knowledge of third party data platforms such as DUCO, SimCorp Dimension and Bloomberg
Competencies:
Basic understanding of private credit business
Basic understanding of mechanics behind Loans- Term Loans/DDTLs/Revolvers.
Knowledgable of full life cycle events i.e. principal activity PIK, Paydowns, Borrowings, trades, fees, rate resets, interest accruals, etc.
Strong analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills.
Client focused with the ability to prioritize responsibilities
Influence and negotiate with team and clients in a sophisticated and demanding business environment
React quickly and meet tight deadlines maintaining accuracy and thoroughness
Demonstrate flexibility in the face of ambiguous situations, shifting demands, challenging work environments and initiative in working with management and clients, adapting change strategies.
Use diplomacy and tact to resolve difficult situations. Escalates serious issues to the Manager.
Proactive and willing to thrive in a highly critical function.
