We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, - Backend Engineer/Developer, Data Science!
We are looking for a Developer with strong programming skills in Data Science, Python and a understanding of statistics, natural language process. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and enhancing data-driven backend systems and analytical tools used in production.
The ideal candidate should be a developer who can code, deploy, debug, and support production systems, while also being comfortable interpreting statistical models and outputs (e.g., regression results, text classification)
Work location: Bangalore
Responsibilities:
.Design, develop, and maintain backend data processing and analytical tools using Python and PySpark.
.Regression, Classification, Natural Language Processing concepts.
.Collaborate with onshore leads, data scientists, analysts, and product teams to understand requirements.
.Debug, fix, and enhance existing production codebases.
.Perform production bug fixes, hotfixes, and enhancements with minimal turnaround time.
.Deploy code changes and support production releases.
.Analyse logs, error traces, and model outputs to diagnose issues.
.Make controlled changes to existing tools without breaking downstream dependencies.
.Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance.
.Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification -
.Master's or Bachelor's in Mathemetics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science , or related field
Technical Skills:
.Strong proficiency in Python (mandatory),
.Exposure to PySpark or large-scale data processing frameworks (good to have).
.Experience with SQL, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP),Git.
.Exposure to automated workflows and data pipeline design.
Statistical Understanding (Foundational Level)
.Basic understanding of statistics, including Multiple Linear Regression, interpreting coefficients, significance and trends.
.Interpret statistical model results for validation and troubleshooting.
