Role Overview
The Associate Director – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and strengthening accounting operations. This role will work closely with leadership to enable business decision-making through strong financial planning, reporting, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Strategy
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Provide strategic insights to leadership for business growth and cost optimization
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and highlight variances
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Oversee end-to-end accounting, including GL, AP/AR, and financial closures
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax regulations (Direct & Indirect)
- Manage audits (internal, statutory, and tax audits) and ensure timely closure
- Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow planning and working capital optimization
- Oversee banking relationships and treasury operations
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance & accounts team
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
- Build a high-performance, compliance-driven finance function
Key Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification
- 10–15 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Strong expertise in accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting
- Experience in managing audits and compliance frameworks
- Exposure to education, services, or multi-entity environments is a plus
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
