Assembly & Test Tech - Level 1

• Assembly Operations:
• Perform tasks such as electronic component placement, manual/automated soldering, and basic product testing.
• Quality Control:
• Monitor assembly processes and perform visual/functional inspections to ensure adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshooting:
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues or malfunctions during the assembly process to minimize downtime and rework.
• Maintenance:
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of assembly tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Documentation:
• Accurately record production data, assembly steps, test outcomes, and quality metrics as per standard operating procedures.
• Collaboration:
• Coordinate with production team members and engineers to improve assembly workflows and overall process efficiency.
• Safety Compliance:
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience:
• Prior experience in electronics assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in assembly techniques and use of tools.
• Familiarity with soldering practices (manual or reflow).
• Ability to interpret assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Understanding of basic electronics components and functionality.

Process & Quality Tools (Preferred Knowledge)

• 5S: Sort, Store, Shine, Standardize, Sustain.
• Kaizen: Principles of continuous improvement.
• Poka Yoke: Error-proofing techniques to reduce assembly defects.
• Kanban: Inventory and production flow management.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Methodical problem-solving for recurring issues.
