Job Summary:
We are looking for a driven and execution-focused Area Sales Manager Channel Sales (EdTech) to build, manage, and grow a high-performing channel partner network within an assigned territory. This role involves identifying and onboarding new partners (coaching centers, consultants, resellers), driving business through them, and generating leads by actively engaging with schools and colleges. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, strong in relationship management, and capable of delivering results through indirect sales channels and institutional outreach.
Responsibilities:
Channel Partner Identification & Onboarding:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new channel partners such as coaching institutes, education consultants, and local resellers.
- Develop and expand the partner network to increase market penetration within the assigned territory.
- Ensure smooth onboarding, training, and activation of new partners.
Channel Management & Growth:
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
- Enable partners with product knowledge, sales tools, and ongoing support to drive revenue.
- Monitor partner performance and drive engagement to maximize productivity.
Target Achievement:
- Own and deliver area-level sales targets (enrollments, revenue, and collections).
- Track performance metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
Market Development:
- Plan and execute local marketing initiatives, campaigns, and events to increase brand awareness.
- Ensure strong product visibility and presence across partner locations and institutions.
Relationship Management:
- Build long-term relationships with channel partners and institutional stakeholders.
- Act as the first point of contact for partner and institutional escalations.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and operational processes.
Requirements:
- 24 years of experience in channel sales, preferably in the EdTech or education sector.
- Proven experience in partner acquisition, onboarding, and relationship management.
- Experience in institutional sales or visiting schools/colleges for lead generation is highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a target-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
