Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager Safety Equipment is responsible for driving sales of PPE and industrial safety products within the assigned region. The role focuses on developing distributor networks, managing key accounts, increasing market penetration, and achieving revenue targets across industries such as construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales targets for safety equipment (PPE, fall protection, head protection, hand protection, etc.)
Develop and expand distributor, dealer, and channel partner networks
Manage and guide Sales Executives and Territory Sales Officers
Identify and develop key accounts (factories, construction sites, EPCs, corporates)
Conduct product demos, safety awareness sessions, and toolbox talks
Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
Ensure availability, visibility, and correct positioning of safety products
Coordinate with marketing for promotions and safety campaigns
Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and collection follow-ups
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong B2B & channel sales experience
Knowledge of PPE and industrial safety norms (IS, ANSI, EN standards preferred)
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to manage distributors and large territories
Result-oriented with strong relationship-building skills
Qualification & Experience
Graduate
13 years of sales experience in Safety Equipment / PPE / Industrial Products
Industries Preferred
