Designation: Area Sales Manager
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reporting to: Regional Manager
Key Responsibilities
Overall:
- Responsible for all sales and marketing for all products / solutions / services offered by the company in the assigned region.
- Responsible for maintaining all key ratios such as GP, sales to CTC etc. for Technical Services Department in the assigned region.
- Responsible for providing assistance in development of new applications, solutions, products, services.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Sales & Customer Relations
- Generate and maintain sales as per the targets assigned to the department from time to time in the assigned region.
- Develop and maintain relations with key customers, OEMs and business partners in the region.
- Maintain and expand the sales team for technical service personnel in the assigned region.
- Maintain and expand the distribution network of the organisation for all products / solutions / services offered by the company in the assigned region.
- Develop new channels of sales to enhance cash flow.
- Strategise and implement sales enhancement schemes.
- Assist team members in order closure, conducting trials, seminars, and other sales promotional activities.
- Performance & Reporting
- Maintain key ratios within acceptable parameters for all personnel in the Technical Services department.
- Appraise management on various developments, trends, threats, opportunities from time to time.
- Comply with the reporting system of the organisation and ensure compliance by team members in the assigned region.
- Business Development
- Provide assistance in development of new applications, solutions, products, services.
- Drive initiatives such as new applications, business partners, and new business segments.
Key Performance Indicators
- Achievement of Sales Targets (Value Wise) in the segment assigned.
- Achievement of minimum effective discount to generate sales.
- Training imparted to other sales team members and business partners.
- New initiatives such as development of new applications, business partners, or business segments.
Reports to be submitted:
- Monthly Review Report (Monthly Basis)
- Quarterly Review Report (Quarterly Basis)
- Annual Review Report (Annual Basis)
Personal Specifications
Education/Qualification/Training:
- Graduate in Engineering/any discipline, Diploma in Technical field
Experience:
- 5 - 11 years in Industrial Marketing, with a minimum of 0 - 5 years in speciality Greases/lubricants
Skills & Knowledge:
- High on ownership, results-driven, ability to travel, and documentation skills
- Familiar with nuances of Industrial Marketing/Speciality lubes and industries in the respective area
- Good networking with industry experts
- Exposure to Pharma, Steel, Cement, Heavy Engineering, Textiles, Auto, Power Plants industries
