Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Territory & Team Management

  • Supervise and guide a team of Sales Executives / Medical Representatives / Field Officers in the assigned area.
  • Allocate targets, monitor daily activities, and ensure team productivity.
  • Conduct joint field work and performance reviews.

2. Sales Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute area-specific sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends; respond with counter-strategies.
  • Ensure effective product promotion, visibility, and availability across the region.

3. Distributor & Channel Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stockists, distributors, and retailers.
  • Ensure proper supply chain and inventory levels are maintained.
  • Resolve distribution or credit-related issues.

4. Customer Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, hospitals, retailers, or prescribers.
  • Gather feedback on products, pricing, and service quality.
  • Support customer retention and satisfaction initiatives.

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Track area performance metrics: sales volume, revenue, growth, market share.
  • Submit timely reports on sales, expenses, team performance, and competitor activities.
  • Use CRM tools or reporting dashboards to record and monitor field activity.

6. Training & Development

  • Train and develop new hires and existing team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance.
  • Organize skill development workshops or field coaching sessions.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Pharmacy, Business, or Commerce
  • Minimum 36 years of field sales experience, preferably with 12 years in a team leadership role

Desirable:

  • MBA in Sales/Marketing
  • Prior experience in the same industry (e.g., pharma, FMCG, healthcare, etc.)
