Role Description

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager for an on-site, full-time position based in Chennai. The role is focused on driving sales growth in the assigned territory, managing key accounts, and developing strong distributor and retailer networks. Responsibilities include identifying new market opportunities, achieving sales targets, building relationships with clients, preparing sales reports, and ensuring the implementation of marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Sales and Business Development within the FMCG industry, particularly in the HoReCa channel or consumer packaged goods sector.
  • Competence in Territory Management, Sales Planning, and Distributor Network Management.
  • Proficiency in Strategic Planning, Market Research, and identifying growth opportunities in the region.
  • Strong Negotiation, Communication, and Relationship-Building skills to manage key accounts and stakeholders effectively.
  • Analytical skills to interpret sales data, monitor market trends, and prepare actionable performance reports.
  • Ability to work on-site in Chennai and travel as required within the designed territory.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and MS Office for reporting and client management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a similar role.
