Role Overview:
The Area Sales Manager for Small Commercial Vehicles (EV) will drive retail volumes, build strong dealer capability, and expand market share across the assigned territory. The role focuses on fleet sales, commercial use-cases, retail finance enablement, and deep market penetration in industrial, logistics, SME, and distribution sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
-Achieve monthly sales volume, retail, and market share targets for the LCV segment.
- Manage sales performance including enquiry flow, test drives, sales processes, and conversion efficiency.
- Monitor team's readiness, product knowledge, and customer handling quality.
- Strengthen retail finance penetration by coordinating with banks/NBFCs and driving LCV finance schemes.
- Ensure pricing discipline, scheme execution, and timely stock rotation at dealerships.
- Conduct area-level competitor analysis (pricing, payload, range, schemes, and fleet penetration).
- Lead demand-generation activities—road shows, market storms, product demos, fleet trials, and BTL initiatives.
- Track DMS/CRM funnel accuracy and ensure strong follow-up discipline.
- Support dealer expansion, new outlet on boarding, and sales team capability building.
- Build strong relationships with fleet owners, transporters, small logistics companies, and channel influencers.
- Ensure seamless coordination with service, operations, and backend teams to improve customer satisfaction.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in SCV/LCVsales
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle use-cases, fleet buying behavior, and dealer operations.
- Proven experience in fleet sales, B2B sales, or light commercial vehicle segment preferred.
