At DEIF India , we are looking for a full-time Area Sales Manager to strengthen our sales presence in the Ahmedabad region and drive sustainable business growth by developing new opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships.

About The Role

As our new Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within your assigned territory by developing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and implementing sales strategies aligned with DEIF's business objectives.

You will work closely with customers – Genset manufacturers, OEMs, channel partners, Panel builder and internal stakeholders to maximize sales performance while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The role requires regular customer visits across the assigned territory and close collaboration with the broader sales and support teams.

This position is based in Ahmedabad and reports to the Deputy General ManagerSales, West India

Working Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with OEMs, panel builders, EPC contractors, consultants, distributors, and end users.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop a strong sales pipeline.
  • Negotiate and close commercial agreements with customers while ensuring profitable business growth.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, business plans, and regular performance reports.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on customer enquiries, quotations, and sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and opportunity pipelines in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Service & Support, Product Management, and other internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in customer events, exhibitions, seminars, and technical presentations to strengthen DEIF's market presence.
  • Ensure compliance with DEIF's policies, quality standards, and Global Safety Policy.
  • Travel extensively within the assigned territory, with approximately customer visit

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A strong technical understanding with the ability to identify customer needs and translate them into value-driven solutions.
  • Minimum 3 years of successful experience in technical sales, account management, or business development within the electrical, automation, power generation, or engineering industry.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling techniques and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and develop sales strategies.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
