Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Design and develop ServiceNow solutions including applications, integrations, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and automated processes.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and build solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers.
  • Review code for quality, standards adherence, and performance optimization.
  • Recommend and implement configuration vs. customization approaches to meet business needs efficiently.

Module Implementation & Enhancements

  • Lead development activities for new module implementations, upgrades, and major enhancements.
  • Build integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Servers.

Testing & Deployment

  • Develop and execute unit tests; support QA and UAT cycles by resolving defects in a timely manner.
  • Participate in code promotions and deployments across environments ensuring minimal operational impact.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Prepare and maintain technical design documents, configuration guides, and support documentation.
  • Share knowledge with team members and contribute to ServiceNow development standards.

Continuous Improvement & Support

  • Identify and implement opportunities for platform optimization and automation.
  • Provide advanced technical support for incidents, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex issues escalated by sustain teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of ServiceNow development experience.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator required.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or module-specific certifications (e.g., ITSM, ITOM) highly desirable.
