Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Architect role based in Sarjapur, Bengaluru. The Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing architectural projects, ensuring functionality, sustainability, and adherence to client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed architectural plans, managing project timelines, integrating innovative design solutions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals. The Architect will also monitor project progress and ensure compliance with relevant building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1.Design Development (In-House Projects) 

  • Develop concept and detailed designs, incorporating management requirements, site constraints, and regulatory norms.
  • Prepare and maintain construction documentation — drawings, specifications, and reports — ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure design intent and quality.
  • Estimate construction costs, identify areas for cost optimization, and recommend design alternatives.

2.Documentation & Compliance 

  • Review design documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

3.Project Coordination (for projects designed by external consultants

  • Work with project managers and consultants to maintain design intent through the construction process.
  • Conduct site visits, identify design-related issues, and provide architectural support.
  • Respond to RFIs from contractors and participate in design reviews to improve design outcomes.

4.Technical Support 

  • Research materials, technologies, and design trends to enhance project outcomes.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining design standards for consistency across projects.
  • Provide technical support and resolve design-related queries.

5.Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing

  • Mentor junior architects and designers through training and guidance.
  • Share design expertise and contribute to developing organizational design capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch); Master's preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in residential architecture (preferably in design and project coordination).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and related design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, materials, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
