Role: Cloud Security Architect Experience
Job Description
Looking for a skilled and hands-on Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of AWS services, strong architectural skills, and the ability to work closely with Operations, DevOps, and various teams within security to build secure cloud platforms. This role requires someone who can define secure cloud architecture and actively contribute to best practices and standards.
The Cloud Security Architect will play a key role in driving cloud best practices and ensuring security and compliance. The candidate should also possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams while mentoring team members and guiding cloud strategies.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including architecture,
deployment, and operations.
- Proven experience designing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures.
- Solid experience with core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Load
Balancers, Auto Scaling, and networking components.
- Experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, or similar) for automation and tooling.
- Practical understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts and experience
with Terraform or similar tools.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containers
- Experience with cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and secure architecture principles.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of Networking in general and AWS Networking in particular
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure cloud solutions.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Additional
- Background in cloud security, governance, or compliance frameworks.
- Exposure to observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus,
Grafana, or similar.
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or similar
would be a positive.
- Experience mentoring cloud security engineers or leading cloud transformation
initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
