Job Description

Job Title: L3 Systems Engineer – Infrastructure & Cloud (Windows/ Linux/ M365/ Network/ Security)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Systems Engineer responsible for design, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise IT infrastructure across Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, and Network/Security domains. The role requires deep technical expertise, incident resolution ownership, and proactive system improvement in a 24/7 enterprise environment.

Location: Technopark Phase 1, Trivandrum

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Systems (Windows/Linux)

  • Manage and troubleshoot: Windows Server (2016–2025), Active Directory, GPO; Linux servers (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
  • Handle: AD replication, DNS/DHCP, OU design; Patch management, OS hardening
  • Lead: Server build/migrations, upgrades, and DR planning

Microsoft 365 / Entra ID

  • Administer: Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive); Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Manage: Identity lifecycle (JML); Conditional Access, MFA, PIM
  • Troubleshoot: Mail flow, hybrid setup, federation issues

Networking (L2/L3)

  • Configure & troubleshoot: Switching (VLANs, STP, trunking); Routing (Static, OSPF, BGP basics)
  • Manage: LAN/WAN connectivity; Network performance and latency issues
  • Work with: MPLS, VPNs, Internet breakout

Security & Firewalls

  • Configure & manage: Firewall policies (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, etc.)
  • Handle: NAT, ACLs, VPN tunnels (Site-to-Site, SSL VPN)
  • Support: Security audits, VA/PT remediation; Log analysis and incident response

Incident & Problem Management

  • Act as L3 escalation point
  • Perform: Root Cause Analysis (RCA); Problem management
  • Ensure: SLA adherence; Minimal downtime

Automation & Optimization

  • Develop scripts using: PowerShell, Bash
  • Automate: User provisioning; Monitoring & alerting
  • Optimize: System performance and cost

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain: Architecture diagrams; SOPs, runbooks
  • Support: ISO 27001, SOC 2, audit readiness
  • Ensure: Change management (CAB process)

Technical Skills Required

  • Core Skills
  • Windows Server + Active Directory (Expert)
  • Linux Administration (Intermediate–Advanced)
  • Microsoft 365 + Entra ID (Expert)
  • Networking fundamentals (CCNA level minimum)
  • Firewall & security concepts

Tools & Technologies

  • Azure / AWS (basic to intermediate)
  • Monitoring tools (Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)
  • Backup tools (Veeam, Acronis)
  • SIEM (optional – Sentinel, Splunk)

Scripting

  • PowerShell (mandatory)
  • Bash (preferred)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent

Certifications (preferred):

  • Microsoft (AZ-104, MS-102)
  • Cisco (CCNA/CCNP)
  • Linux (RHCSA/RHCE)
  • Security (Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto)

Experience

Overall 15+ years of experience out of which 5–10 years experience in enterprise IT infrastructure/ Systems

Experience in:

  • Large environments (500+ users)
  • Hybrid cloud setups
  • 24/7 support operations

Key Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting & analytical skills
  • Ability to handle critical incidents under pressure
  • Cross-domain knowledge (Infra + Cloud + Network + Security)
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management

Work Environment

  • 24/7 support (shift/on-call rotation)
  • Exposure to enterprise clients (US/Global)
  • Participation in CAB / change governance
