Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of key business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Windows 10/11, Android (BYOD), iOS, and macOS devices using Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager).
- Create and maintain device enrollment profiles:
- Windows Autopilot
- Android Enterprise (BYOD Work Profile, COPE)
- Apple Automated Device Enrollment (ADE)
- macOS MDM enrollment
- Define and apply:
- Compliance policies (device health, encryption, OS versions)
- Configuration profiles (Wi-Fi, certificates, restrictions, security baselines)
- Endpoint protection policies for Defender Antivirus, Firewall, ASR
- Deploy apps across platforms (Win32, VPP for iOS/macOS, Managed Google Play apps).
- Apply App Protection Policies (MAM) to protect corporate data on unmanaged devices.
- Implement Conditional Access policies for device-based and app-based access control.
Manage Windows Update for Business (WUfB) for patch enforcement and reporting.
- Perform remote actions: wipe, lock, retire, and passcode reset for all supported platforms.
- Use Proactive Remediation scripts and PowerShell for automation and policy enforcement.
- Monitor and troubleshoot device sync, policy deployment, and compliance issues via Intune portal and Endpoint analytics.
- Generate compliance reports and remediation logs, and support ticket escalations through integrated platforms like ServiceNow.
Required Skills
- 3+ years experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
- Strong expertise in managing multi-platform devices (Windows, Android, iOS, macOS)
- Familiarity with Apple Business Manager (ABM), Google Admin Console, and Apple VPP
- Hands-on with PowerShell and Intune proactive remediation framework
- App deployment experience using LOB, Store, VPP, and Win32 packaging
- Working knowledge of Entra ID, compliance, and Conditional Access
- Knowledge of device-specific policy configurations and limitations across platforms
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Intune.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in application support.
- Experience in cloud-based application support.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework for incident management.
- Familiarity with scripting languages for automation.
