About the Role
We are looking for an Application Engineer with hands-on experience in filtration systems and mechanical seal support systems for pumps and compressors. The role involves global engineering standardization, pre-order and post-order engineering activities, and close collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Global Engineering Standardization
- Standardize P&ID, symbols, schematics, and 2D CAD libraries.
- Develop engineering tools, work instructions, process flows, and improvement charters.
- Support end-to-end engineering design from concept to production.
- Create training material and provide technical product support.
Pre-Order Engineering
- Analyze customer and project specifications.
- Select and size filters, seal support systems, instrumentation, and valves.
- Coordinate with vendors/COEs for technical clarification and cost optimization.
- Prepare techno-commercial quotations and proposals.
- Build documentation, processes, and a knowledge repository.
Post-Order Engineering
- Prepare P&ID, GAD, BOM, datasheets, and engineering calculations.
- Develop instrument hook-ups, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, and control narratives.
- Create MDR/SDRL/VDRL documentation, ITPs, and IOM manuals.
- Participate in technical review meetings with customers/EPCs/OEMs.
- Review supplier technical offers and ensure alignment.
- Deliver complete engineering documentation to manufacturing.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in P&ID, BOM, and engineering documentation.
- Knowledge of filtration systems and seal gas support systems.
- Instrumentation, valves, and fluid control system selection and sizing.
- Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
