Position Overview
Sales, technical support, and customer service activities related to the company products in an assigned territory
Essential Job Functions
- Technical support for major projects, including specification review, valve selection, offering alternatives, technical clarification at pre-bid / post order stages etc.;
- Prepare project-based Deviations / clarifications list.
- Communicate with Vendors for bought-out items for valve automation. Review of vendor offers for compliance with customer specifications.
- Actuator and Accessories sizing & selection.
- Customer reception, Interaction, Product presentation & attain meetings as and when required.
- Technical exchange, Handling special products and standardization promotion
- Internal / External communication during project execution.
- Product promotion for key customers;
- Participate in industry exhibitions,
- Inspection of the valves at site and customer satisfaction investigation;
- Conduct market research to identify trends in valve technology and applications.
- Project site valve installation guidance and after-sales tracking;
- Researching for product development direction and product replacement opportunities;
Requirements / Desirables
- Graduate in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 3-7 years experience in Valve Industry (Ball, Butterfly, Gate, Globe& Check Valves) as a Application Engineer or Inside Sales Engineer.
- Familiar with Valve Standards, Material standards, Oil and Gas Industry End User Specification.
- Professional and Positive Attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Work well independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
- Possess a high-energy level, competitive nature.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities to meet deadlines
- Self-management: initiative, organized, process orientation.
- Possess meticulous attention to detail, time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication. Fluent in English and local language
- Familiarity with SAP and CRM will be an added advantage.
Business trip (at least 50%) is required for capex project technical clarification, factory or trouble shooting at site etc.
