LSeT Foundation (Life Science Education Trust) is an educational initiative established to bridge science, compassion, and technology in the field of animal care and management. Through immersive training programs and research-driven learning, LSeT empowers students to become skilled, ethical professionals dedicated to wildlife welfare and sustainable coexistence.

Program Description

The Animal Care Boot Camp (ACBC) is a 3-month intensive, hands-on training program designed by the LSeT for individuals passionate about working with animals. This program provides a practical foundation in animal husbandry, nutrition, hygiene, enrichment, and welfare through real-life exposure to over 150 exotic and domestic species at the LSeT Animal Farm. Participants gain direct mentorship from zoo biologists, aviculturists, veterinarians, and wildlife experts, and are encouraged to develop ethical, compassionate, and scientific approaches to animal care.

Key Responsibilities

As an Animal Care Boot Camp Trainee, you will:

1. Participate in daily husbandry routines including feeding, cleaning, and enrichment activities.

2. Assist in basic healthcare management and observe veterinary care practices.

3. Learn about animal behaviour, habitat design, and enclosure maintenance.

4. Maintain records using modern AI-based animal management software (ANTZ System).

5. Support in organizing webinars, workshops, and study tours related to animal care and welfare.

6. Participate in educational discussions and documentation as part of training modules.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Must be 18 years or older at the time of joining.

2. Minimum qualification: 12th Standard (any stream).

3. Graduation in Biology, Zoology, Animal Science, or related fields preferred (not mandatory).

4. Must be passionate about animal welfare and motivated to build a career in this field.

5. Prior volunteer or internship experience in animal shelters, farms, or wildlife organizations will be an advantage.

Graduates of the Boot Camp can pursue roles such as:

1. Animal Keeper / Zookeeper

2. Assistant Wildlife Rehabilitator

3. Veterinary Assistant

4. Animal Shelter Manager

5. Pet Groomer / Animal Trainer

7. Entry into LSeT's Diploma in Animal Care & Management (DACM) for advanced specialization
