About the organization:

It is India's top new-age media platform for long-form conversations and ideas that explore how the world actually works—across business, technology, economics, geopolitics, and culture. It brings together founders, investors, policymakers, scientists, and thinkers to go beyond headlines and unpack the systems, incentives, and forces shaping modern society.

Through in-depth interviews, essays, and thematic explorations, the platform aims to make complex subjects more understandable while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and first-principles conversations.

Ideal candidates:

  • Experience 3–5 years in research for a publication, media house, or education-focused content channel — traditional or digital. You've done the work, not just assisted on it.
  • Preferred Background: Economics, Social Sciences, or Content Research. You understand how ideas move through systems - markets, policy, culture - and you can trace a narrative back to its root cause.

Skills:

  • A voracious, self-directed reader. You don't wait to be briefed - you already know what's happening and why it matters. You read widely: long-form journalism, academic papers, Substack and everything in between.
  • A synthesis machine. You can take 40 scattered sources and produce one clean, sharp point of view — without losing the nuance or overclaiming.
  • Intellectually restless. You find angles others miss. You ask why does this matter right now before you ask anything else.
  • Fluent in AI-assisted research. You use AI tools as a force multiplier - for sourcing, pattern recognition, and refining output - not as a crutch.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and speed. Research topics won't always be clean or well-defined. You can work with a half-formed brief and return something rigorous.
  • BONUS: You've published content yourself — a blog, newsletter, thread - anything that proves you can turn research into a point of view.

  • Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Episode Deep Research

  • Build a comprehensive research pack on the episode theme and guest(s) — covering their body of work, public positions, notable contradictions, and what they haven't been asked yet.
  • Surface 4–6 Big Ideas — specific, data-backed angles that can anchor the conversation. Not generic talking points. Things worth actually arguing about.
  • Identify the so what — why this topic, this guest, this moment. Make the relevance undeniable.

2. Narrative & Stakeholder Read-Out

  • Translate raw research into a clean narrative flow — structured for the host, scannable under pressure, and sequenced to build momentum across the episode.
  • Present the read-out with conviction. You're not handing over a document — you're making a case. Defend your angles, flag weak spots, and know when to push back.

3. Post-Production Research Support

  • Review raw footage with a researcher's eye — flag moments where an insight is implied but not landed, where a claim needs validation, or where a follow-up angle was left on the table.
  • Run source validation on all factual claims before content goes live. Every stat, attribution, and reference gets checked — no exceptions
