We are seeking a reliable and skilled Ambulance Driver to join our emergency response team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe transport of patients and medical personnel to and from medical facilities. The Ambulance Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring timely response to emergencies while maintaining high standards of safety and care.
Responsibilities
- Drive the ambulance safely and efficiently to emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Assist paramedics and medical staff in loading and unloading patients.
- Maintain the ambulance in a clean and operational condition.
- Follow traffic laws and regulations while ensuring the timely transport of patients.
- Report any vehicle malfunctions or issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and mileage.
- Ensure that all necessary medical equipment is properly stocked and operational.
Skills and Qualifications
- Valid driving license (light motor vehicle) with a clean driving record.
- 1-5 years of experience in driving, preferably in an emergency services or medical setting.
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and during emergencies.
- Strong communication skills to interact with medical staff and patients.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
