Airfield Electrical Engineer

Technical Design & Engineering

Provide electrical engineering solutions for airport projects. Lead the design of Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems, including runway, taxiway, apron, and approach lighting. Prepare concept, preliminary, and detailed designs, technical specifications, drawings, layouts, and perform load calculations, circuiting diagrams, photometric checks, and redundancy assessments.

Systems & Controls

Design constant current systems, CCRs, series circuits, AGL control and monitoring systems (ALCMS), signage, and docking systems. Support testing, commissioning, and operational handover activities.

Standards & Compliance

Ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA, EASA, DGCA, and other international and national standards. Prepare Basis of Design, compliance matrices, and technical reports. Review vendor submissions and contractor drawings for constructability and compliance.

Collaboration & Coordination

Coordinate with airside planning, ATC, electrical, ICT, civil, and airport operations teams. Interface with airport operators, regulators, and contractors during design and implementation. Participate in client meetings, technical workshops, and design reviews.

Leadership & Mentoring

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers. Review and approve technical deliverables. Contribute to the development of standard details, specifications, and best practices.

Client & Business Support

Support proposals, bids, and tenders with technical inputs. Contribute to innovation, value engineering, and sustainability-led solutions. Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Software & Tools

Use AutoCAD or equivalent design tools. Utilize software for testing, design verification, and documentation. Microsoft Office and project management tools for reporting and coordination.
