We're Hiring an Air Pricing & Operations Assistant Manager
Atlantic Gate is looking for a skilled and detail‑oriented Air Pricing & Operations Assistant Manager to strengthen our Air Freight team in Mumbai. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial pricing capabilities with hands‑on operational execution across export, import, and cross‑trade shipments.
Role Purpose
You will manage air freight pricing, procurement, and end‑to‑end operations in line with company strategy—ensuring competitive pricing, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, margin protection, and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Air Pricing & Commercial Management
- Prepare accurate and timely airfreight quotations for customers and internal sales teams
- Negotiate rates, allocations, and commercial terms with airlines, GSAs, and consolidators
- Maintain and update rate matrices, contracts, and spot pricing
- Support RFQs, tenders, and key‑account pricing in coordination with Sales
- Ensure pricing aligns with profitability and yield targets
Air Freight Operations Execution
- Manage end‑to‑end air freight operations (export, import, cross trade)
- Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers, transporters, customs brokers, and overseas offices
- Prepare, verify, and control shipment documentation (MAWB, HAWB, invoices, DG papers where applicable)
- Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve exceptions
- Ensure adherence to customer SLAs and transit commitments
Compliance, Systems & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with IATA, airline, customs, and internal SOPs
- Maintain audit readiness and documentation accuracy
- Utilize company systems for operations, costing, and reporting
- Support cost control, accurate billing, timely invoicing, and GP analysis
What We're Looking For
- Experience in air freight pricing and operations within freight forwarding
- Strong commercial negotiation and cost awareness
- Solid knowledge of air export, import, and cross‑trade processes
- Attention to detail, compliance‑driven mindset, and problem‑solving ability
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, and overseas teams
