Role Overview:
We are looking for a forward-thinking AI Video Editor to join our creative team. You will be the bridge between conceptual storytelling and cutting-edge technology. Your primary mission is to produce high-impact video content for client pitches, social media, and marketing campaigns using a mix of traditional NLE (Non-Linear Editing) software and the latest Generative AI video suites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapid Prototyping: Create high-fidelity video mockups and mood reels for pitches using AI-generated assets to help clients visualize concepts before full-scale production.
- End-to-End Production: Edit, color grade, and sound-design marketing videos that blend real-world footage with AI-enhanced visuals.
- AI Integration: Use tools like Runway, Pika, Kling, or Sora (as available) to extend shots, generate b-roll, or create entire sequences from text/image prompts.
- Workflow Optimization: Stay at the forefront of AI video tech, constantly testing and integrating new tools to speed up delivery without sacrificing quality.
- Refinement: Perform AI cleanup (using tools like Topaz Lab or After Effects) to ensure generated content meets professional broadcast/web standards.
Experience required:
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience (Agency or In-house brand experience preferred).
- A proven portfolio that demonstrates a mix of traditional editing (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve) and AI-assisted work.
- Experience working in a fast-paced pitch culture where turnaround times are tight and visual impact is everything.
Must-Haves & Technical Proficiency:
- The Standard Stack: Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and After Effects.
- The AI Stack: Deep familiarity with Generative AI tools (e.g., Runway Gen-2/Gen-3, Luma Dream Machine, Midjourney for assets, and ElevenLabs for audio).
- Prompt Engineering: The ability to write complex, nuanced prompts to get specific camera movements, lighting, and textures from AI models.
- Visual Storytelling: A strong eye for composition, pacing, and narrative flow. You know why a cut works, not just how to make it.
Non-Negotiables:
- Quality Control: You must have the eye to distinguish between cool AI experiments and client-ready professional content. We cannot ship hallucinated glitches or uncanny valley errors.
- Adaptability: The AI landscape changes weekly. You must be a self-starter who enjoys breaking new tools to find their limits.
- Hybrid Skills: You aren't just a prompter. You must be able to manually edit, mask, and composite when the AI falls short.
- Speed: The ability to produce a 30-second high-quality pitch teaser in 5-6 hours.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with photo editing (Photoshop)
- Experience in creative copywriting to help with video scripts.
