Role Overview

Hack Daily is looking for a fast, creative, AI-native Video Editor who can produce high-performing video ads and social content at speed. You'll work closely with the founder, creators, and the creative team to build performance-driven videos for Meta, Reels, and other short-form platforms.

If you're obsessed with pacing, hooks, storytelling, and AI editing tools this is your playground.

Responsibilities

Edit 1020 performance videos weekly with strong hooks, tight pacing & high retention

Use AI tools like Runway, Pika, and Sora-style editors to generate video assets

Clean, trim & enhance UGC footage from creators and founders

Add captions, transitions, sound design & effects optimized for Meta/Reels

Create multiple versions of each script for A/B testing

Deliver trend-aligned edits for both social + performance marketing

Work closely with the camera handler & creative lead for shoot planning

Ensure 2448 hour end-to-end turnaround on assigned edits

Requirements

24 years of strong video editing experience (performance ads preferred)

Hands-on experience with modern AI editing tools (Runway, Pika, etc.)

Deep understanding of short-form storytelling: hooks, pacing, retention

Ability to work in a fast, iterative, high-growth startup environment

Strong sense of aesthetics, sound design & reel-first content language

Ability to produce high-volume edits without compromising quality
