I Platform Director
Reporting into: Head of Flow Product & Development / Flow Engineering Lead
Location: Bangalore
What will you contribute
As part of the Flow Engineering team, the Flow Platform Director will lead the buildout and orchestration of enterprisegrade AI platform services, leveraging Kubernetes, Azure PaaS, and modern identity frameworks. This role will oversee missionoriented platform pods and ensure the Flow platform delivers secure, scalable, and reliable capabilities for internal and external products across cloudfirst and hybrid environments.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
Your deliverables as the Flow Platform Director will include, but are not limited to:
Platform Orchestration & Kubernetes Leadership
- Oversee the orchestration, deployment, and lifecycle management of platform services running on Kubernetes (AKS).
- Define patterns for containerized workloads, service mesh, scaling, resilience, observability, and multitenant operations.
- Ensure the platform supports enterprisegrade reliability, zerodowntime deployments, and continuous delivery.
Azure PaaS & Enterprise Platform BuildOut
- Drive the architecture and delivery of platform capabilities built on Azure PaaS services (Functions, APIM, Event Grid, Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, etc.).
- Ensure the platform is cloudfirst while supporting hybrid and onpremise integration scenarios for regulated clients.
- Establish governance, automation, and reusable frameworks for platform services.
Identity, Access & Entra ID B2B
- Lead integration with Microsoft Entra ID B2B to support secure external identity federation and crosstenant collaboration.
- Define identity onboarding flows, delegated access models, and governance for partners and clients.
- Ensure identity orchestration is consistent across all platform services.
MissionOriented Pod Leadership
- Manage the delivery of missionoriented pods, including RAGasaService, AgentasaService, Chat Service, and MCP Services.
- Oversee dependencies, priorities, and resource allocation across pods to ensure cohesive platform evolution.
- Drive operational excellence across missioncritical, multitenant workloads.
Enterprise Reliability & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure the Flow platform is scalable, reliable, secure, and performant to meet enterprise requirements.
- Monitor performance, reliability, and operational health of platform services.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and deliver new features over time.
Leadership of Leaders
- Lead managers, architects, and senior engineers responsible for multiple platform pods.
- Set direction, align priorities, and build a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and compliance.
- Foster a testdriven, automationfirst, and securityfirst engineering culture.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience managing platform engineering or platform delivery teams, including leadership of leaders.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes orchestration, container platforms, and distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of Azure PaaS services and cloudnative enterprise architecture.
- Experience with identity management and federation, including Entra ID B2B.
- Proven ability to deliver largescale, missioncritical, multitenant platforms with zerodowntime deployment practices.
- Experience launching and operating enterprise platforms across cloudfirst and hybrid environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and crossfunctional collaboration skills.
- Experience with agentbased service architectures is preferred.
