SMTS, Distributed Systems

We have an exciting job opportunity for a Distributed Systems Engineer in our AMD Pensando Engineering team. You will be building the controller product portfolio for the industry leading Network accelerators and AI Infrastructure blocks. Job Roles include building scalable software modules for configuring and monitoring Data Processing Units and GPUs, automated dev tests and participating in customer PoCs.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ years of professional experience in Networking and distributed systems

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop a massively scalable distributed system
• Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems, and design innovative solutions for customer requirements
• Work closely with development, test, documentation and product management teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment
• Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues

Requirements:

• Strong SW design and programming skills (Go, Python, C++, C preferred)
• Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux
• Experience with defining JSON, YAML REST APIs
• Experience with modern orchestration systems like Docker, Kubernetes preferred
• Experience with ElasticSearch, Cassandra, neo4j, Kafka, InfluxDB, Prometheus preferred
• Experience with microservices architectures preferred
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred
• Good interpersonal skills and effective communication
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field required. Advanced degree in Computer Science preferred
