Position: AGM, Finance (Record to Report)

Overview:
To oversee the strategic and operational management of period-end closing and standalone financial reporting for the entity, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and alignment with strategic business goals in a complex, capital-intensive steel and power manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership in Closing Activities: Define strategic goals for period-end closings, engage with senior leadership to align processing practices with organizational objectives, and ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Advanced Transaction Management: Lead initiatives to strategize and execute accurate interbranch, intercompany, and related party transactions. Develop comprehensive compliance frameworks to guide these processes.
- Audit and Regulatory Compliance Ownership: Own the preparation and presentation of audit data packages, ensuring alignment with internal controls and industry-specific regulations.
- Risk Management & Innovation: Assess and mitigate financial risks through innovative practices to safeguard assets and enhance stability, integrating advanced technologies to optimize future business capabilities.
- Policy Influence and Technology Integration: Drive the integration of advanced technologies to optimize financial processing systems with ERP and automation features. Conduct testing for system upgrades and enhancements.
- Cross-Department Collaboration Leadership: Coordinate with other functions to align financial reporting and processing strategies enterprise-wide, ensuring streamlined operations.
- Financial Reporting & Communication: Communicate complex financial reports to executives ensuring clarity and actionable insights from standalone and financial statements and validate MSME disclosures for regulatory conformity.
Qualifications/ Experience
- 13-17 years of previous experience in Record to Report, or accounting or finance related field
- MBA/ CA/CWA along with Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business administration
- Professional certifications in the field of accounts, finance or R2R are preferable
- Expertise in developing and overseeing financial policies, compliance frameworks, and risk management
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects and align finance operations with organizational objectives
- Knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations
- Extensive knowledge and experience in using advanced ERP systems like SAP Hana
- Capability in analyzing large data sets to provide strategic insights and decision support
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI for visualization and dashboard creation and analytical skills for variance analysis and financial performance reporting.
