About Company: A leading manufacturing and export house based at Jalandhar specializing in engineering goods such as Trailer Parts, Tractor Parts, Hand Tools, Fasteners is now expanding its wings in Aerospace vertical.
Job Summary
We are seeking a technically proficient Business Development Manager - Aerospace who can bridge the gap between engineering and sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong aerospace or engineering background and the ability to understand complex technical products, communicate their value, and drive business growth in domestic and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the aerospace and aviation sector.
• Promote and sell aerospace components, systems, or services to OEMs, MROs (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), airlines, and defense organizations.
• Understand technical specifications and effectively communicate product capabilities to clients.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order closure.
• Participate in industry exhibitions, trade shows, and client meetings.
• Track market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with aviation standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
• MBA in Sales/Marketing (preferred but not mandatory).
• 8 -10 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in aerospace, aviation, or engineering industries.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong technical understanding of aerospace products, systems, and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Customer-focused approach with problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience
• Experience working with aerospace OEMs, defense organizations, or MRO companies.
• Exposure to international markets and export sales will be an added advantage.
