Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Opportunity Identification:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential acquisition targets within [specify industry/market segment, if applicable].
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments to inform acquisition strategies.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities.
  • Deal Sourcing & Relationship Management:
  • Develop and nurture relationships with brokers, sellers, industry contacts, and other relevant stakeholders to source new opportunities.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand reach and identify leads.
  • Financial Analysis & Valuation:
  • Perform comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses for potential acquisitions, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable sales, and other relevant methodologies.
  • Assess the financial viability and potential return on investment (ROI) of each opportunity.
  • Due Diligence Management:
  • Lead and coordinate the due diligence process, working closely with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) and external advisors (attorneys, accountants, environmental consultants).
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with acquisitions.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, contracts, legal documents, and other pertinent information.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closure:
  • Develop and execute effective negotiation strategies to secure favorable terms and conditions for acquisitions.
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals and investment memorandums to senior management.
  • Manage the closing process, ensuring all legal and financial requirements are met.
  • Post-Acquisition Integration (Optional, but often included):
  • Collaborate with integration teams to ensure a smooth transition and successful integration of acquired assets or businesses.
  • Reporting & Strategy:
  • Prepare regular reports on acquisition pipeline, progress, and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term acquisition strategies.
