Our client is a leading MNC in the maritime sector and to grow the organization and strengthen their Finance team they want to recruit:

Accounts Manager – Vessel Accounts

Based in Noida, Delhi NCR

ORGANISATION: This a key position in the organisation and you will support the financial operations of a fleet of vessels and work in a high-compliance, fast-paced environment. This role suits a hands-on finance professional who can lead a sizeable team, tighten controls, and partner with stakeholders across procurement, operations and vessel teams to keep accounting, payments, and owner reporting running smoothly.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Group accounting & reporting: Oversee accounting and financial operations across group companies; drive coordination across functions. Supervise preparation of financial statements and timely MIS / management reporting. Lead annual and multi-year budgeting to support business planning and stability

Accounts Payable leadership: Own governance of the AP function across entities ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time. Ensure invoices are properly checked for coding/classification, tax treatment, approvals, and supporting documents. Track vendor ageing, due dates, and payment cycles; support disciplined payment planning while protecting cash flow. Work with procurement/operations/vessel teams to clear invoice disputes, missing documents, and approval delays

Tax, compliance & audit: Ensure compliance across applicable regulations and filings (including GST and direct tax support). Manage and close notices/queries from tax authorities in coordination with internal/external advisors. Coordinate statutory and tax audits including GST, Income Tax and Transfer Pricing audits as applicable.

Vessel accounting and owner coordination: Monitor vessel fund positions regularly to ensure accuracy and operational continuity. Ensure timely submission of vessel accounts to owners as per agreed schedules and reporting standards. Resolve owner queries on transactions, balances, and discrepancies with speed and clarity. Coordinate fund calls / receipts for vessel operations and follow up on outstanding receivables. Build strong working relationships with owners/stakeholders to support smooth collections and service delivery

People management: Lead and manage the day-to-day delivery of the Accounts Department, guiding a team of 10+ across accounting functions.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Degree in Finance or Accountancy, Qualified Chartered Accountant is preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting / finance operations, ideally in a MNC.
  • Maritime, ship management, vessel accounting exposure is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing teams (ability to run a large function and drive deadlines is critical)
  • Strong ownership across Accounts Payable controls and month-end / year-end closure
  • Solid exposure to statutory compliance and audits including GST and direct tax support; comfortable coordinating responses to notices with internal/external advisors
  • Confident manager able to work closely with various stakeholders and keep financial operations moving
  • Able to work under pressure within a multi-tasking environment.
  • Possess integrity and ability to exercise discretion in confidential matters.
  • Competency in MS office Excel, Word and Power point.
  • Good communication skills - able to converse in fluent English
