This Position reports to:

Global R2R Delivery Lead


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to lead the Intercompany Process within ABB's Record to Report (R2R) function. This global leadership role is accountable for designing, optimizing, and overseeing end‑to‑end intercompany transaction management across ABB's legal entities and operating hubs. The successful candidate will drive process standardization, ensure compliance with corporate policies, enhance operational efficiency, and partner with cross‑functional teams worldwide to deliver timely and accurate intercompany accounting and netting.

Reporting to the Delivery Lead R2R, this role places you at the forefront of global transformation -simplifying processes, strengthening controls, and driving automation. Leading a team of 200+ professionals through 4-5 direct reports, you'll foster collaboration, innovation, and performance excellence while shaping strategies that enhance efficiency and resilience. With a hybrid work model offering both flexibility and international exposure, this position provides a unique opportunity to influence the future of finance operations on a scale.

You will be accountable for:

  • Process Leadership & Governance - Drive global intercompany process improvements aligned with ABB's standardization roadmap establish governance structures, policies, and control frameworks.
  • Operational Oversight - Ensure accurate, compliant transaction processing, invoice management, reconciliations, and timely settlement while monitoring KPIs and backlog items.
  • Stakeholder & Team Management - Act as the single point of contact for intercompany matters collaborate with FAO, Treasury, and divisions build strong stakeholder relationships and mentor global teams.
  • Transformation & Automation - Lead adoption of digital tools (CFIN, Hyperion, Trintech, ServiceNow) identify automation opportunities (RPA, macros) to optimize efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Compliance & Risk Management - Safeguard adherence to ABB Functional Standards and audit requirements design and execute internal controls, risk mitigation strategies, and audit readiness.
  • Performance Management - Define, track, and report KPIs conduct performance reviews implement corrective actions deliver data‑driven insights for continuous improvement and cost optimization.
  • Training & Capability Development - Develop and deliver global training programs strengthen process knowledge and competencies support onboarding and knowledge transfer across geographies.


Qualifications for the role:

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in finance & accounting and bring over 15+ years of experience in finance and accounting operations, including more than 8+ years specializing in intercompany accounting. With at least 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity managing large teams, you have a proven track record of driving operational excellence and leading complex, high‑impact initiatives.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex global processes across multiple locations and time zones, with strong knowledge of consolidation principles and IFRS/GAAP standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing diverse teams worldwide, coupled with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and financial management platforms, with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Experienced in GCC organizations, driving transformation with agile and lean methods, leveraging automation and continuous improvement for efficiency and accuracy.
