Job Summary

The Branch Commercial & Accounts In-Charge will manage end-to-end branch accounting, taxation, commercial operations, SAP-based financial documentation, compliance, audits, vendor reconciliation, and stock management.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Prepare accounting documents such as invoices, billing, AP, AR, purchase entries, bank reconciliation, MIS reports, etc.
• Maintain accurate records inSAP FICOand manage branch commercial documentation.
• Finalize monthly accounts, prepare MIS for management, and support year-end closing.
• Handlepayment processing, vendor bills, and service provider settlements.
• Maintain stock records, insurance registers, and ensure accurate accounting entries.

Taxation & Compliance

• Independently manageGST: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, 2A reconciliation, scrutiny handling.
• Execute direct tax compliances:TDS (194Q, 194C, 194I, 194J), TCS (206), monthly tax payments , return filing.
• Ensure compliance withFSSAI, statutory laws, and internal policies.

Reconciliation & Audit

• Vendor/Supplier ledger reconciliation.
• Inter-office balance (branch accounting) reconciliation.
• Coordinate with internal auditors and ensure timely closure of audit queries.
• Monitor GL coding accuracy and ensure corrective actions.

Commercial & Operational Responsibilities

• Handle agreements (CNF, warehouse, vendors) and manage renewals.
• Ensure proper transport planning and commercial operations.
• Conductmonthly warehouse stock verification; monitor zero-moving & near-expiry inventory.
• Manage tax audit finalization for branch.

Banking and Reporting

• Preparemonthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
• Provide financial and cost MIS reports to senior management.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor team members in the accounting & finance department.
• Ensure training, performance tracking, and process improvements.

Requirements

• B.Com (First Class)with minimum4 yearsof experience
• OR
• M.Comwith minimum23 yearsof experience
• Must have completedregular full-time graduation.
• Must have studiedMath and Englishin 10th & 12th standards.
• Proficient inMS Office (Excel & Word); SAP-FI / SAP-SD preferred.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and documentation skills.
• Experience in FMCG or distribution-related accounting preferred.
• Proficient in local language.
