Job Title: Internal Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in TDS, GST, Income Tax, PAYE, and all core accounting functions. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Operations

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting using accounting software (e.g., Tally/QuickBooks/Zoho Books).
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
• Maintain general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and cash-flow tracking.

Taxation & Compliance

• Calculate, deduct, and file TDS on all applicable transactions.
• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliations, etc.).
• Assist in Income Tax compliance, advance tax calculations, and coordinating with auditors.
• Manage PAYE / payroll taxes and ensure accurate monthly salary processing.
• Keep track of statutory deadlines and ensure timely submissions.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and MIS reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense analysis.
• Support internal and external audits.

Other Responsibilities

• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all financial transactions.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, and statutory bodies when required.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and local regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong expertise in TDS, GST, Income Tax, and PAYE.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, etc.).
• Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications like CA Inter, CMA Inter, or similar are a plus.
• Experience in a similar internal accounts role.
• MBA Finance or MCom
