Meet the Team

You will be part of Cisco's Global Accounting and Reporting (GAR) organization, a team that partners closely with business and finance leaders to deliver high-quality accounting services, ensure strong controllership, and maintain compliance across global operations. The team works in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment supporting Cisco's India entities.

Your Impact

In this role, you will play a critical part in driving accounting excellence, compliance, and financial integrity across India entities. You will lead key processes across intercompany accounting, book closure, financial reporting, and audits, while partnering with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.

  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities in compliance with US GAAP
  • Own and drive intercompany accounting activities including cross-charges, settlements, and reconciliations across India entities
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Ind AS, FEMA regulations, and internal policies
  • Review trial balance, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure timely closure of open items
  • Prepare financial statements and support statutory reporting as per Ind AS
  • Act as a key point of contact for statutory and tax audits, partnering with Big4 auditors
  • Drive audit readiness and ensure timely completion of audit deliverables
  • Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, IT, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Support process improvements, system enhancements, and compliance initiatives
  • Lead and mentor a team of 3–4 members

Minimum Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in US GAAP and Ind AS accounting
  • Proven experience in:
    • Intercompany accounting
    • General Ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Experience managing India compliance requirements (FEMA, statutory, tax)
  • Experience handling audits for large multinational organizations
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a large technology, telecom, or multinational environment
  • Exposure to Oracle Financials ERP or similar systems
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience in team leadership and people management
