About The Role
Own end-to-end execution of high-volume, multi-jurisdiction payroll in
Oracle Fusion Payroll across the U.S. and Canada. This role focuses on regular payroll production (semi-monthly and biweekly), off-cycle processing, retro management, exception handling, settlement coordination, and post-payroll corrections-ensuring accurate, compliant, on-time payroll during migration and stabilization.
What You'll Do
- Execute semi-monthly and biweekly payroll cycles for 11,500 employees across 45+ U.S. states and 6 Canadian provinces in Oracle Fusion Payroll.
- Manage end-to-end payroll process steps (calc, validations, prepayments, payments/settlement), ensuring schedules are met.
- Perform retro event control activities: identify retro impacts, coordinate corrections, and process required manual offsets/adjustments.
- Triage and resolve pay calc and retro warnings/errors using payroll message reports; coordinate fixes across HR, time, benefits, and finance.
- Process and coordinate off-cycle payrolls (ACH/instant pay), including rollback requirements, recalculation, and settlement overlap prevention.
- Perform post-payroll corrections, including rollback/re-run activities when required, and ensure proper audit trail and documentation.
- Support validations and reconciliations: YTD/QTD reviews, wage base checks, locality/tax validations, and audit support.
- Maintain runbooks/checklists; contribute to continuous improvement and cross-training to reduce single points of failure.
Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years of payroll experience supporting multi-state U.S. payroll; working knowledge of Canadian payroll/province considerations preferred.
- Hands-on experience with inhouse payroll systems like Oracle Fusion Payroll or adp or workday(strongly preferred) or another enterprise payroll platform with complex retro/off-cycle processing.
- Strong knowledge of payroll operations, statutory compliance fundamentals, and payroll controls.
- Advanced Excel skills; strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to operate in time-sensitive, high-accuracy environments.
- Manage and support payroll data loads and mass updates using HSDL/HDL/EIB, including error resolution and repeatable templates.
- Partner with Payroll leadership on readiness for expansion to additional countries by building scalable runbooks, controls, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting payroll migrations (Workday → Oracle or similar).
- Experience with payroll integrations (time, HCM, benefits) and resolving upstream/downstream issues.
- Familiarity with payroll data loads/tools (HSDL/HDL/EIB) in partnership with HRIS.
