Job Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Accountant with strong knowledge of the US accounting system. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing accounts for US-based clients and be proficient in cloud accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and manage accurate books of accounts for US clients
- Perform bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations
- Record and classify transactions in accordance with US accounting standards (GAAP)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Coordinate with CPAs/tax professionals for tax filings and compliance
- Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Minimum 2 years of experience in US accounting or bookkeeping
- Strong knowledge of the US accounting system and GAAP
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) and Xero
- Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Good understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working with US-based clients
- Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax compliance
- Prior experience in an offshore accounting environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
