Job Description – Junior Accountant
Position: Junior Accountant

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team. The candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, vendor/customer transactions, GST and TDS compliance, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
The ideal candidate should have good accounting fundamentals, working knowledge of Tally/ERP systems, MS Excel, GST and TDS, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced technology/semiconductor environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Record and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally/ERP.
- Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, expense bills, debit/credit notes, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain vendor, customer, bank, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure proper accounting classification and supporting documentation for all transactions.
- Prepare accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Verify vendor invoices against POs, GRNs, delivery documents, and approvals.
- Process vendor payments and maintain vendor outstanding reports.
- Follow up on receivables and maintain customer outstanding statements.
- Perform vendor and customer ledger reconciliation.
- Assist in resolving invoice and payment-related discrepancies.
GST & TDS
- Assist in GST accounting and reconciliation, including purchase/sales data.
- Support preparation of data for GST returns and reconciliation with GSTR-2B.
- Assist with TDS calculation, accounting, reconciliation, and payment.
- Maintain proper records for GST and TDS compliance.
- Coordinate with consultants/auditors for required supporting documents.
Bank & Other Reconciliations
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) on a regular basis.
- Reconcile vendor, customer, GST, TDS, and other relevant ledger balances.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
Finance & Documentation
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, POs, payment documents, bank records, and other financial documents.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports and management reports.
- Support internal and statutory audits by providing required schedules and documents.
- Assist the Finance Manager in budgeting, expense tracking, and other accounting activities.
- Coordinate with Procurement, HR, Administration, and other departments for finance-related requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime or other ERP/accounting software.
- Good knowledge of GST and TDS basics.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, filtering, and reconciliation.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience in a manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, engineering, or technology company will be an advantage.
- Exposure to inventory accounting, purchase accounting, import/export transactions, or fixed assets will be an added advantage.
