Shift : 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM IST / 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM (midnight) IST
Overview
We are looking for an ambitious Manager with a mindset to work with innovative and fast growing companies in a fast-paced environment and play a crucial role in the growth of the company. The Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients. This role requires high attention to detail, good communication with international clients, and the ability to work independently with end clients. The role requires strong expertise in finance operations, team leadership, service delivery, client stakeholder management, and process excellence.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of accounting services, managing team performance, driving productivity, and maintaining strong collaboration with the stakeholders and clients. Key Responsibilities
● Operations & Service Delivery
○ Lead bookkeeping and accounting engagements of a portfolio of clients
○ Design and setup bespoke processes for each client
○ Oversee month-end and year-end close processes for multiple clients
○ Review bookkeeping output for accuracy and completeness
○ Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting packages
○ Supervise reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and reporting schedules
○ Implement quality control procedures across engagements
○ Supporting on ad-hoc projects including building financial models & business plans, fundraising and M&A transactions
○ Providing exceptional service and expert financial advice to clients and build strong relationship
● Team Leadership & People Management
○ Lead and mentor assistant managers, seniors, and staff accountants
○ Supporting recruitment, training and getting new members to the pace
○ Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews
○ Drive employee engagement, ownership, accountability, and retention
○ Identify training needs and support capability building across the team.
● Process Improvement and Controls
○ Identify automation and process improvements opportunities
○ Drive standardisation, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives
○ Ensure strong internal controls and compliance standards
What We're Looking For
● A qualified accountant with 8 or more years of experience of providing bookkeeping and finance services to the UK or US clients. You should have a solid understanding of the basics of accounting and financial management
● Passionate about innovative and start-up businesses. You'll be working with them day-in, dayout so you'll need to enjoy it!
● Enthusiastic to rip up the rule book and challenge the status quo. We don't want more of the same, and nor should you.
● Confident in your abilities and a desire to learn from your mistakes. Failing fast is fine with us
● An enthusiastic and self-driven individual who can take initiative to build and roll out new processes on their own Technology and systems:
● Comfortable with using cloud-focused software, such as Xero and Quickbooks, having experience of NetSuite is an advantage
● Strong Google Workspace and MS Office experience, you will be significantly using Googledoc and Microsoft excel
● Excellent numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills
● Excellent time management, attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills
● Self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job
● Ability lead engagements and work under pressure in a fast-paced start-up environment
