About the Team:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Executive to join our Finance team. The incumbent shall be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, efficiently handling vendor-related activities, managing staff expense reimbursements, and ensuring strict compliance with GST, TDS, and all other applicable laws, particularly those relevant to Section 8 organizations. The ideal candidate should be proficient in accounting software and possess a strong understanding of financial best practices.

What Would This Role Entail

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Record day-to-day journal entries, including receipts, payments, sales, and purchase transactions.
  • Maintain ledgers, reconcile accounts, and ensure all entries are accurately and promptly recorded in the accounting software (Tally/ZohoBooks, etc.).

Assist the team with AR:AP, Reporting, expense and reimbursements.

  • Expense & Reimbursement Management
  • Review and process all credit card and out-of-pocket expense reimbursement claims.
  • Accounts payable and receivables management.
  • Verify supporting documents to ensure compliance with the company's expense policies.
  • Perform reconciliation of corporate credit card statements on a monthly basis.

Vendor Management

  • Draft, review, and maintain organized records of vendor agreements in coordination with the legal/operations team.
  • Handle the complete vendor onboarding process, ensuring thorough invoice verification, and processing timely payments.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Provide robust support for both statutory and internal audits by meticulously preparing required schedules and detailed reports.
  • Ensure absolute adherence to all accounting and documentation standards, particularly those applicable to Section 8 entities.

Statutory Compliance (TDS & GST)

  • Manage TDS deduction, tracking, and payment processes; prepare necessary returns and challans.
  • Ensure compliance with GST requirements including invoice checks, input credit reconciliation, and filing support.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of taxation laws applicable to non-profit entities.

Management Information System (MIS)

  • Prepare reports on operational expenses , inflow and outflows.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly MIS reports covering cash flow, expenditure analysis, and budget utilization.
  • Provide insights and data support to management for planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare reconciliations, variance reports for financial analysis and planning.

Necessary Skills:

  • Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance roles.
  • Working knowledge of Tally / Zoho Books and proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong grasp of fundamental accounting principles and vendor management processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, high accuracy, and proven ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and apply themselves.
  • Basic understanding of politics and the nature of India's democracy.
  • Basic proficiency in the Office suite and G suite software.
  • Ability to undertake and monitor multiple tasks and ensure timely delivery while working in a team environment.

  • Understanding of native place of residence's political landscape
  • Exposure of working in fast-paced and dynamic environment
