Role Description

The Account Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, bill processing, reconciliations, inventory accounting support, and assisting in statutory compliance (TDS & GST). The role requires strong working knowledge of Tally, attention to detail, and the ability to independently handle routine accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Bookkeeping & Daily Accounting
  • Record purchase bills, site expenses, and other day-to-day transactions in Tally.
  • Maintain ledgers, vouchers, and supporting documents.
  • Ensure correct accounting classification and timely entry posting.
  • Perform three-way verification, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring only verified bills are recorded.
  1. Inventory Accounting
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records in Tally, including stock entries and adjustments.
  • Assist in creating and managing godowns and ensure correct stock allocation.
  • Assist in Monitoring stock movements and reconcile inventory with books.
  • Support basic stock reconciliation and reporting.
  1. Month-End Closing
  • Assist in month-end closing activities.
  • Perform vendor, expense, Customer and advance reconciliations.
  • Support timely finalization of books as per the monthly timelines.
  1. TDS & GST Compliance Support
  • Account TDS-related entries in Tally and support TDS workings.
  • Assist in GST compliance, including invoice validation, reconciliation, and data preparation.
  • Ensure correct GST rates and classifications are applied in Tally.

Qualifications and Experience

  • CA Inter or B.Com or equivalent qualification.
  • 13 years of hands-on accounting experience using Tally/any other ERP system.
  • Working knowledge of TDS and GST.
  • Experience in purchase accounting and reconciliations.

Skills

Strong practical knowledge of Tally.

  • Proficient in MS Excel, other MS Office tools, and Google Workspace.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to independently manage routine accounting tasks.
