Role Description

This is a contract, hybrid Academic Counselor role based in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area, with the flexibility to work remotely on occasion. The Academic Counselor will guide and support students in their academic and career journeys. Responsibilities include conducting student counseling sessions, providing academic advising, assisting with career guidance, and ensuring students can leverage Edrix programs to achieve their professional goals. Maintaining clear communication and offering personalized support will be key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Student Counseling and Career Counseling, with a focus on providing guidance for academic and career progress
• Strong skills in Communication, including active listening and the ability to articulate advice and resources effectively
• Experience in Academic Advising and Education, with a background in supporting students in their learning journeys
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• A Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or related fields; Master's degree preferred
• An understanding of e-learning platforms and prior experience in online education is advantageous
