Academic Counselor

About The Opportunity

We operate in the Education & Career Guidance sector, delivering student counselling, admissions support, and career-planning services across India. Our team helps learners identify academic pathways, navigate college/university admissions, and prepare for career transitions with data-driven guidance and personalised plans.

This is an on-site Academic Counselor role based in India, ideal for candidate-facing professionals who combine counselling skills with strong knowledge of higher-education pathways and admissions processes.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one academic and career counselling sessions to students and guardiansassess goals, recommend programs, and co-create actionable study/admission plans.
  • Administer and interpret psychometric and aptitude assessments to inform personalised academic pathways and course selections.
  • Guide candidates through domestic and international admissions processes: application strategy, documentation checklist, timelines, and interview prep.
  • Run group workshops and classroom sessions on career options, entrance exam strategies, and study-abroad planning; create related learning materials.
  • Maintain accurate student records in the CRM, track outcomes, and follow up on application progress and enrolment conversions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (admissions, marketing, operations) to refine counselling playbooks and contribute to quality-improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience (role Expectations)

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in student-facing roles such as counselling, admissions support, or academic advisingdemonstrable counselling outcomes are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal presence with the ability to engage students, parents, and academic partners in an on-site environment.
